The University Grants Commission receives many representations/complaints from students/parents on the non-refund of fees by the Higher Education lnstitutions (HEls) on cancellation/withdrawal of admissions.

Category 1 – Refund 100%: If the notice of withdrawal of admission is received 15 days or more before the formally notified last date of admission.

Category 2 – Refund 90%: If the notice of withdrawal of admission is received less than 15 days before the formally notified last date of admission.

Category 3 – Refund 80%: If the notice of withdrawal of admission is received 15 days or less after the formally notified last date of admission.

Category 4 – Refund 50%: If the notice of withdrawal of admission is received 30 days or less, but more than 15 days after the formally notified last date of admission.

Category 5 – No Refund (0%): If the notice of withdrawal of admission is received more than 30 days after the formally notified last date of admission.
